Job Description
Job Title Technician ? Machine Operator (ISBM) Injection moulding Machine. Job Family FOR HR
Job Purpose
To Perform electrical activities at site for a pharmaceutical facility.
Responsibilities:
? Direct Role:
? Able to manage smooth machine operations related to ISBM Machine.
? Able to manage smooth machine operations related to Injection moulding Machine, with targeted productivity.
? Able to manage smooth machine operations related to Injection moulding Machine, with targeted productivity.
? Sets up and operates blow molding machine to mold plastic products according to specifications: Turns valves to start flow of water and release air pressure to machine.
? Moves machine controls to set timing unit and temperature of heating unit and start automatic feed mechanism.
? Operate and trouble shoot blow molding equipment to produce various sizes of bottles used in the product of dairy and drink products for sale at Weis Markets retail locations.
? Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
? Perform assigned preventative maintenance work.
? Assist in the training of new Operators.
? Assist other Operators and maintenance personnel on mechanical repairs.
? Communicate with the Production Shift Supervisor to coordinate production line support staff in accomplishing the lines? objectives.
? Make frequent on time quality checks on products being produced from established quality standards.
? Communicate processing information to designated personnel on incoming shift. Assist other Operators as needed.
? Perform basic processing of injection and/or blow molding machines to improve machine efficiency.
? Complete and file all required documentation in an orderly and timely manner.
? Verify material usage per standards.
? Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
? Ensures his area activities are in compliance with cGMP requirements and internal operating and sanitization procedures.
? Able to ensure full compliance of automation & control system with monitoring during operations for same machine including documentation and reporting system.
? Handling departmental queries and responding to call outs.
? Troubleshooting and resolving problems.
? Coordinates and schedules all maintenance activities with maintenance department including repairs, preventive maintenance, new installation, and upgrades.
? Orders all electro-mechanical spares and maintains inventory.
? Technical Support ? Perform operational repairs as required to support Asset Management and Project Development.
? Interpret basic schematics and diagrams.
? May receive specialized equipment training.
Job Competencies:
1.1 Required Education:
? Diploma (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent certification for technical education
1.2 Required Knowledge:
? cGMP guidelines for pharmaceutical plant
? ISPE guidelines for Clean room.
? USP and other pharmacopeia guidelines for water used for pharmaceutical application
1.3 Required Skills:
? Complete hand on knowledge & experience including routine trouble shooting for machine operation and its monitoring and reporting systems related to water purification system.
? Good communication skills
? Experience operating, processing, and making some mechanical adjustments to Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) and/or Injection Molding (IM) machines.
? Ability to visually and mentally make priority decisions/judgment calls based on the situation at hand.
? Able to effectively present information and to respond to questions from management.
? Demonstrates strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
? Good written and verbal communication skills are required including the ability to present information and respond in a group environment.
? Proficient hand-eye coordination to operate equipment.
1.4 Required Experience:
? 5-7 years from pharmaceutical industry & hands on experience on ISBM Machine.
